| Valerie Smith, Lic.Ac., M.Ac. was granted her masters degree in acupuncture and certification in Chinese herbal medicine from New England School of Acupuncture. She is also a diplomate with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Ms. Smith has been practicing in the Boston area since her acupuncture licensure in 1997 and teaching acupuncture since 1999. She is an Assistant Professor at New England School of Acupuncture where she currently teaches Traditional Chinese Medical Theory to first year acupuncture students. Valerie is also a Clinical supervisor at the NESA Teaching Clinics in Watertown and the Malden Family Health Center. Valerie is a founding member of Harvard Square Acupuncture and Massage in Cambridge where she practices acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. “My philosophy of patient care is one that focuses on developing a healing partnership in order to promote patient empowerment and optimum health.” -Valerie Smith, Lic.
